Graham has over 30 years of professional tax experience, with a focus on Indonesia since 1997. He is widely acknowledged as one of Indonesia’s most experienced foreign tax advisers. He was formerly a partner with KPMG Indonesia, where he established its Transfer Pricing practice. Under his leadership, the practice was recognised as the “Indonesian Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year” in 2010 and 2012.
Since leaving KPMG, Graham has developed and leads a Jakarta-based practice of tax professionals covering accounting and tax compliance issues for SMEs, alongside regular advisory work for multinationals. Through this practice, he and his team advise corporates, individuals and solopreneurs on a broad range of matters, combining their knowledge of corporate and individual taxation to provide structuring and compliance support.
Graham has a rare combination of skills: he has structured numerous cross-border deals and transactions while also possessing in-depth knowledge of the Indonesian tax system and its impact on business operations. His current areas of focus include assisting new entrants to the Indonesian market—both corporates and individuals—to mitigate and comply with their tax obligations and develop robust reporting systems.
In addition to regular tax advisory and dispute-resolution work for major multinationals, Graham has been involved in due diligence and structuring for high-profile transactions, including those involving private equity funds, across sectors such as financial services, retail, FMCG and aviation.
Graham is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Aberdeen.
